What is Venetian Plaster?
Venetian Plaster, which is often known as marble plaster, Italian plaster or polished plaster is made from fired limestone combined with water and marble aggregate or quartz. Free from harmful chemicals, and resistant to mould, it has been used for centuries. It has the ability to provide a beautiful matte finish as well as a highly polished one to furniture, walls, ceilings, and feature walls which can look like marble, and also stone, but also has the ability to take on bespoke patterns and designs.
About VE Polished
Jonny Holliday has been a plasterer for over a decade. From rendering in Australia, to building pizza ovens in Brighton, Jonny comes highly recommended by everyone he works for. Not only is he friendly and professional, he takes great pride in all of his work. The decision to focus on Venetian Plastering came from the desire to make every day different, to use his creativity to create bespoke, exciting spaces using his own hands rather than large-scale equipment. He is passionate about creating that ‘wow’ factor for your home or business.
Why Venetian Plaster?
Using the Venetian Plastering technique is so much more than the traditional concept of plastering. It delivers beautiful decoration and luscious finishes to most surfaces, is highly durable and offers a high-spec, individual design. No two VP projects are the same. Unlike most traditional plasters, there are more than one type of Venetian Plaster and even more finishes that can be created from them. One of the joys of this ancient technique is its versatility; more than one can be used at once to create different effects.
